Worthy State Deputy, State Officers, State Office, Past State Deputies, Major Directors, Diocesan Deputies, District Deputies, Grand Knights.
The<\/strong>\u00a051st AnnualJohnny Lopez KofC StateGolf Tournament\u00a0<\/strong>was\u00a0held September12th<\/sup>\u00a0thru 14th in Beaumont, at Bayou Din Golf Course and Brentwood Country Club.\u00a0We had 81 players for the scramble,Friday September 12th<\/sup>\u00a0which included his Excellency Bishop David Toups, who joined me, State Director Chad Sandwell, and Beaumont Diocesan Deputy John Bartee.
We also had 151 players on Saturday and Sunday for the tournament. Special thanks to State Golf Chairman Ricky Meyer, Lady Bonnie Meyer, Brother Knight Larry Solansky and all the volunteers who made this tournament a success.
Also, thanks to all the brother Knights who played. Worthy State Warden Reed Fontenot also attended\u00a0and played in the scramble.\u00a0\u00a0Catholic\u00a0Citizenship\u00a0Essay\u2022<\/strong>July\/August –\u00a0Order\u00a0Kits –\u00a0Confirm\u00a0Current\u00a0Topic\u2022September\/ October\u00a0–\u00a0Students\u00a0write\u00a0essays\u2022November \/December –\u00a0Judging\u00a0of\u00a0essays\u00a0at Councils,\u00a0District, and Diocesan\u00a0Levels.\u2022Jan 15, 2026 – Diocesan winners mailed them to me.

\u2022Soccer Challenge\u00a0<\/strong>\u2022August \/ Sept\u00a0–\u00a0Council Level\u2022 September \/\u00a0October\u00a0–\u00a0District\u00a0&\u00a0Diocesan Levels\u2022 State Level: Diocesan Winners mailed\u00a0to me\u00a0in November.


Keep Christ in Christmas<\/strong>\u2022
September – Order KCIC Kits\u00a0\u2022November \/ December – Judging done at each Council \/ District \/ Diocese level \u2022Jan 15, 2022 – Diocesan winners are mailed them to me.



2nd Annual State Cornhole Tournament\u00a0April 12, 2026 \u2013 Hallettsville, TX – Council 2433<\/strong>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0New format: Doubles, with one alternate team member.\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Age Requirement: 13 years of age by the start of the Fraternal Year.\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0No Diocesan competition. Council winners advance directly to the State Tournament.\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The council tournaments will be allowed to\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0start on July 1st<\/sup>,2025 and must be concluded prior to March 16th, 2026.

State Free Throw Championship<\/strong>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Grand Knights & District Deputies need to secure their medals.\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The State will provide the medals for the Diocesan competition.\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Council \u2013 Jan, District \u2013 Feb, Diocesan \u2013 Feb.\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0State Free Throw Championship, March 8th, 2025, San Antonio Texas.


NEW FEATURED PROGRAM<\/strong>
The\u00a0Remembering Our Faithful Departed\u00a0<\/strong>program calls upon councils to honor and pray for the deceased members of their council, families, and parish community. By commemorating the dearly departed, and asking for the intercession of the saints, Knights can help others overcome the grief that accompanies the death of a loved one, strengthen family bonds, promote the unique cultural and religious traditions of their parishes, and help the suffering souls in purgatory.
