“The wide variety of good works undertaken by the Knights of Columbus in service to Christ and his Church demonstrates your Order’s spiritual vitality as it strives to carry on the vision of its founder, Father Michael McGivney.” St. John Paul II spoke these words to a delegation of Knights of Columbus at the Vatican on Nov. 6, 1995 — one of many times he addressed the Order, urging Knights to remain steadfast to their founding mission and Catholic faith.

In His Words: St. John Paul II Addresses the Knights of ColumbusFrom his election in 1978 until his death in 2005, Pope John Paul II addressed more than two dozen messages to the Knights of Columbus, from messages of welcome and appreciation to the K of C Board of Directors to formal greetings sent to the annual Supreme Convention. The pope’s words were often characterized by appreciation and admiration for the Order’s work, as well as by reflections about its mission in the Church and the world today.  Mother Teresa Documentary Returns to Theaters, Debuts in Canada Nov. 2Back by popular demand, an encore presentation of Mother Teresa: No Greater Love will be playing in theaters across the United States on Nov. 2. In addition, the film will be screening in Canada and the United Kingdom Nov. 2-3, and a Spanish-language version will play in select U.S. theaters on Nov. 7. Knights Support Victims in Ukrainian CitiesThe cities of Chernihiv, in northern Ukraine, and Irpin, near Kyiv, were both devastated by the Russian invasion. Knights of Columbus from Blessed Mykolay Charnetsky Council 16890 in Irpin recently stepped in to help residents with donations of food, medicine and more. WATCH HERE
 
 Everyday Hero: Ron CormierRon Cormier runs a half marathon every Sunday. He can do it in any kind of weather, given the climate in New Brunswick, Canada. What Ron could not do was sit by when his K of C council was asked to help local children coming to school without lunch. As he was about to run his first full marathon in New York, Ron came up with the idea for Lunchbox Grandpa. With help from his brother Knights, he used his run to raise funds for meals at the school for an entire year. His story was told in season 3 of Everyday HeroesWATCH HERE
