During the 111th Annual Meeting of the Supreme Assembly, held in New Haven, Conn., Sept. 10-12, leaders of the Fourth Degree gathered for a Memorial Mass for the 20th anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001. Additionally, a new video produced by the Knights of Columbus recalls the heroic work of first responders and priests on that tragic day and K of C field agents’ efforts to bring financial assistance to grieving families.
 
111th Supreme Assembly MeetingHighlights of the meeting included an address from Supreme Knight Patrick Kelly, the presentation of membership awards, a business session, and a Memorial Mass for the 20th anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001. Service and Sacrifice: Remembering 9/11The horrors of the 9/11 attacks shook the United States to its core. These tragic events inspired Americans, including members of the Knights of Columbus, to work together as never before. Knights To The HeightsServant of God Nicholas Black Elk was a traditional healer and a Catholic convert who served decades as a catechist among the Lakota people. South Dakota Knights recently made a pilgrimage to Black Elk’s grave and the summit of Black Elk Peak to pray for his canonization and intercession.
