Inaugural Feast of Blessed Michael McGivneyThe liturgical memorial of Blessed Michael McGivney was celebrated Aug. 13 in the Archdiocese of Hartford, including at St. Mary’s Church in New Haven, Conn., where Father McGivney founded the Knights of Columbus in 1882. Many K of C chaplains and others throughout the world, with permission from their local ordinary, also celebrated a Votive Mass of Blessed Michael McGivney in honor of his first feast day.
